(N.Z. Press Association) AUCKLAND. / Thousands of pears being .left to rot on trees in Nelson 'orchards is partly a result of 'changing fashions in the use lof fruit, according to Mr V. Sunde, an Auckland grower of the six-member Apple and Pear Board. “Young wives today simply 'don’t want to bottle,” he said. '“More of them are working. 'They’d rather go out and buy a can of pears.
