Helper sought
Somewhere in Menvale is, a good Samaritan who is missing a towel. He gave it to a girl on Tuesday evening! to staunch the blood from injuries she received when she cycled into the back of a parked van — but he did not give his name. The accident happened in Holmwood Road about 6.45 p.m. as the man was walking past, and he arranged to go to his nearby home, get his car, and drive the girl to her home. He returned soon after, but by then another motorist had volunteered to take the girl and her bicycle. The Samaritan gave the girl the towel and that was the last seen of him. The girl’s father, Mr L. W. wanted to find the man to Polson, told “The Press” he thank him for his assistance and to return the towel so willingly lent. “He must live in the vicinity, but I have been door-to-door up that side of Holmwood Road without success,” he said. “I hope 'now that he will read this and telephone me.” Mr Poison’s telephone number is 43-754.
