Mellay Vite fancied in Gore Cup
“The Press" Special Service INVERCARGILL. Mellay Vite, in the Gore Cup, and Dusky Pride, in the Farewell Handicap, will be a favoured T.A.B. double combination on the second day of the Gore Racing Club’s autumn meeting today.
Although only six runners are to line up in the Gore Cup the issue looks wide open. In the second leg, the Farewell Handicap, a number of promising young middle-distance horses will clash. Next to Dusky Pride, the last-start winners, Stealaway and Sundeu, are most fancied.
