Gift for flood relief
(A.Z. Prf»» Aitocißtiani WELLINGTON. New Zealand would contribute $lO,OOO to Brisbane flood relief as “a small gesture of solidarity and support for the people I afflicted,” said the Prime. Minister (Mr Kirk). New Zealanders had been very concerned about the devastation and suffering caused by the floods, Mr Kirk said. "I am sure I speak for th’ whole country in saying that, we sympathise with the people of Queensland, and particularly those who lost members of their families, their homes, or their livelihood in the floodwaters,” he said.
