Games drivers hold dance
The 500 volunteer drivers jof the courtesy cars used dur|ing the Commonwealth .Games extended their (acquaintance last evening with a combined dance and party at the Papanui R.S.A. I rooms. A group of drivers decided ion the party part way ’through the Games and organised it themselves. As part of the evening they had their own medal-presen-tation ceremony, rewarding the three members of the Army who had been responsible tor the scheduling of the cars and their drivers. All three received "medals" and bouquets and were escorted from the "victory dais” by victory hostesses.
