SWEEP CLAIM
Writ filed in court <X’.Z. Press Association) j WELLINGTON, Jan. 28. j A writ on behalf of an Upper Hutt factory worker, [Alan Andrew Wallace, claiming that he is the owner of the ticket which won $200,000 in the New Zealand Cup sweepstake last September, has been filed in the Supreme Court. In his statement of claim iMr Wallace alleges that he agreed with Graham Stokes, Ltd, an Upper Hutt bookseller and newsagent (named as second defendant) to purchase the ticket but that at the time he did not have the requisite $5 with him. Seven days later he called again at the shop with the money but claims the ticket was purported to have been resold. He is seeking a declaration by the Court that he is the owner of the ticket, an order that the first defendants, Yvonne Dean Hall, widow, and Brenda Evelyn Ryan, [married, both of Upper Hutt, [deliver up the ticket, and an [order that the AttorneyGeneral, named as third defendant and who is holding the $200,000 as stakeholder, pay the money to the plaintiff. ■ No date has yet been fixed for hearing the action.
