Bursill Engineering Proprietary,. Ltd, Australia, and R. Patton and Son, Ltd. Peitone, will merge, subject to. approval by the Reserve I Bank, and set up a manu-l (factoring plant at Levin. I I The new company will regain the name R. Patton and Son. Ltd, and will continue, to make the P and M concrete pumps manufactured | in Petone. The company also plans! to manufacture heavy; machinery including Cranvel earth-moving equipment,. The company has a SI million production target, 20 ;per cent of it for export, in -the first year. Bursill Engineering is a private Australian company! ’with four shareholders—one of which is the Australian Industrial Development Corporation which owns 25 per cent. At the International Trade Fair, in August, the company ! received inquiries worth ,5800,000.
