Warning for swimmers
Swimmers at some Christchurch beaches have been warned that they are wearing too much clothing. Beach patrolmen said yesterday that some swimmers were wearing clothing that [might be dangerous. If a person got into difficulty ordinary clothing, such as jeans, could become “floppy and make it hard to swim.” said Mr L. Calder, patrolman at Waimairi Beach.
