Swimming charges

Complaints of anomalies in swimming pool charges should have been made in the council chamber when the charges were approved, said the Mayor of Christchurch (Mr N. G. Pickering) yesterday. Mr Pickering was commenting on a complaint by Cr H. Garrett that a comparison of admission charges for children at Christchurch swimming pools revealed anomalies. When the charges were discussed at the council’s December meeting, neither Cr Garrett nor any other Citizens’ Association councillor objected to the new charges, he said.
