Gentle Miss picked at Invercargill

The highlight of the second day of the Invercargill Trotting Club’s twilight meeting tomorrow will be the clash between the province's two top three-year-olds. Gentle Miss and Lunar Chance, in the $2OOO Southland Futurity Stakes, first leg of the T.A.B. double.
Luck in the running will be an all-important factor in
a capacity field, and with anything like an even break, Gentle Miss, one of the backmarkers on 20 metres, may carry the day. The second leg will be on the Forbury Pace, a mobile sprint, for which the issue looks wide open. Speed King, Damian Peter and Champion Rose look a likely trio. A fast track is likely.
