New racing saloon

One of the more successful cars in Australian “sports sedan” racing in recent years Will soon be in action on New Zealand circuits. The car, a black 1964 EH Holden, owned and raced in Australia by R. Dixon, has been bought and flown to New Zealand for Mr S. Dymand, of Christchurch, who will race it in class B of the Open Saloon Car Association’s Ace-O.S.C.A. championship series. The car had to be flown to New Zealand so that it would arrive in time for the Wigram meeting next weekend, Mr Dymand said yesterday.

The Holden has standard bodywork and trim, save for a fibreglass bonnet, and it is fitted with a 3.3-litre, sixcylinder engine. Modifications include triple carburettors, and disc brakes on all wheels.
