An Australian, lan Alexander Christie, appeared in the Auckland Magistrate’s Court yesterdav, charged with stealing $2988.50 from the Kiang Coal Company, Queensland, his former employer, between last September 22 and December 9. He was remanded without plea in custody for a week, pending an application by the Queensland police for an extradition order.
