Race yacht in port
f.N.Z. Press Association > INVERCARGILL. An injury to a crew member caused the round-the-world yacht-race entry. Peter von Danzig, to call at Bluff | yesterday. Joachim Mueller-Deile, • aged 25, injured a foot on [Saturday night while several [miles off the south coast of I New Zealand. A winch he [was working broke and the ' handle struck his foot. It was believed he had a broken foot but he was treated at Kew Hospital and discharged.
The accident occured at about 11 p.m. in rough seas. The captain of the yacht, Reinhard Laucht, described the conditions as the worst they had struck since leaving Portsmouth. England.
