Z Prett 4,»ocin’ion ’ AUCKLAND. Dec. 26. A man and his son who disappeared while on a canoeing trip on the Waitemata Harbour on Christmas day are believed to have drowned. Mr Owen Netzler Gladwin, aged 30. a boat-builder, and his son. Craig Owen Gladwin, aged 9. of Inverness Road, Browns Bay, left Browns Bay beach at 10.30 a.m. on Christmas Day. Ten hours and a half later they were reported missing and this morning their fibreglass canoe, which was fitted with a sail, was found floating upside down near rhe’ entrance to Rangitoto Channel
