Surf titles at stake

More than 1200 surf lifesavers from 60 clubs will compete in the four-day national titles at Warrington Beach, near Dunedin, from February 28.

Three new events have been added to the programme — surf canoe rescues, women’s beach sprints and neoprene tube rescues.

Other events include surf ski, surf boat, swimming, paddle and malibu board races, rescue and resuscitation.

The finals for most of the events will be held on Saturday and Sundav, March 2 and 3.
