WHISKY READY FOR BOTTLE

f.V.Z. Press Association) DUNEDIN, Dec. 25. Bottling of the New Zealand whisky will start early next year. More than 200,000 gallons of whisky has been made at the Willowbank Distillery each year since production started just over three years ago.

Blending of both whiskies—-45 South and Wilson’s—which are due to come on the market in February, is now well advanced, and adequate quantities will be ready when the bottling plant goes into production in January. The plant was designed

by Dunedin engineers to fit into the distillery, and it will be working to full capacity to ensure ample supplies of New Zealand spirit are available to meet the demand when the new product goes on sale.

During the coiling year more than one million bottles will be made by a glass company in Christchurch and sent to Dunedin to be filled.

Mr J. Pope, marketing manager of Wilson Distillers, Ltd, said that the company was confident that the quality of both blends of New Zealand whisky would enable the company to compete favourably with imported brands.
