Stewardesses dismissed

fN.ZP. A.-Reuter—Copyright) LONDON, Dec. 12.

Pan-American Airways served dismissal notices on air stewardesses at Heathrow Airport, London, yesterday, telling them that their jobs had disappeared because of the oil crisis.

Altogether, 105 of the 437 London-based cabin staff were told: “Because of the fuel crisis, your immediate services are no longer required.”

The cuts are part of a world-wide lay-off of 1000 cabin staff.
