Round in six-under-age
One of the greatest golfing feats in the whole history of the game was that achieved by the Miramar player, J. Drake, who beat his age, off the stick, nearly 200 times—about twice as often as any other golfer in the world. But to go round in fewer strokes than in years is a remarkable achieve-
ment, even if it is performed only once. And recently at Avondale one of the club’s bestknown and most popular members, R. R. Senior, not only beat his age, but left it well behind. Mr Senior is 78, and he scored a gross 72, only two over par. With his (present) handicap of 13, he had a net 59.
