Fast work took place on the inside grass, which was firm. Tarua sped over 800 m in 48 4-5 sec, the last 600 m impressively in 36sec. Count Kereru. which was not asked for Hs best over 1200 m in Imin 18 4-ssec, the final 600 m in 37 4-ssec. That’s Luck went 1200 m in Imin 18 3-ssec, the last 1000 m in Imin 5 2-ssec. and 600 m in 40sec. Action recorded Imin 15 3-ssec for 1200 m. the final 1000 m with Regal Derby in Imin 2 3-ssec. They ran the last 600 m in 37 3-ssec.
