C.O.R.S.O.’s APPEAL
$41,000 in Chch
About 3500 volunteers collected an estimated $41,000 for the C.0.R.5.0. annual house-to-house appeal in Christchurch on Saturday. This is $lOOO more than was collected last year. The New Zealand total has reached $400,000 with a number of areas yet to report their totals, according to a Press Association message from Wellington. The regional organiser (Mr R. A. Consedine) said that the result was pleasing. Further donations could be sent to C.0.R.5.0. headquarters in Christchurch, he said. Amounts collected in other areas ir. Canterbury and the West Coast are: Timaru.i $4385; Ashburton - Methven-j Rakaia, $2945; Rangiora, $1077; Greymouth, $994; Hokitika, $777; Waimate, $766; Leeston - Southbridge $670; Westport, $582; Kaia-I poi, $471; Lincoln, $275; Darfield, $177.
