FEES FOR COURSES

Increase bv A.A.C. Fees charged for the highschool driver education courses run by the Automobile Association (Canterbury) will be soon increased from the present $3O a pupil to $4O. This was decided by the association’s council on Thursday evening, on the recommendation of the services and publicity committee. The committee’s report said that the courses were incurring a steadily increasing deficit. Mr G. L. Falck had urged an approach to the Government for support, the report said, but the general manager (Mr E. S. Palliser) said that approaches had been made in the past. It was also resolved that the association maintain a staff of three driving instructors.
