$2250 from appeal
The Canterbury Epilepsy Association’s street appeal yesterday raised $2250. Fifty-two collectors in the centre of Christchurch raised about $l2OO, and the efforts of a further 100 in the suburbs, plus a mail appeal, brought the total to $2250.
The association’s secretary (Mr R. S. Leach) said last evening that individual giving had been good, but there were not as many collectors as had been expected. Last year’s collection raised $9OO.
