BAN ON SHIP LIFTED
(N.Z. Press Association)
INVERCARGILL, June 1
The dispute which has kept the 5156-ton Britishregistered freighter Tauloto idle at Bluff since May 18 has been lifted.
"An agreement was negotiated in Wellington today,” Mr J. W. Smith, shipping manager for Seatrans, said in Invercargill. A black ban was imposed on the Tauloto because the International Transport Workers’ Federation alleged that the Filipino and Chinese crew was not being paid in accordance with international agreements.
