Cheaper cheese

Christchurch grocery wholesalers have reduced cheese prices, and expect that retailers will pass the reduction on to consumers.

Both wholesalers and retailers must reduce their prizes following the price fall on the London market.! the Minister of Trade and' Industry (Mr Freer) has been reported as saying. Mr Freer said traders could be prosecuted if they did not pass on the reduction, and suggested those who were asked to pay the former higher price for cheese might report it to his department.
