Yacht “not overdue”
(N’.Z. Press Assn — Copyright) SUVA, May 20. A trimaran which left Auckland for Suva on May 5 was not yet considered overdue, the parents of the yacht’s skipper said in Suva today. The 50ft Stellamaris left New Zealand one hour and a half after the start of the Auckland-to-Suva race. It was last sighted from the Red Highlander, a competitor, on Mav 12. The father of the skipper, Mr P. Lightband, of Suva, said he did not yet consider the boat missing. The crew of seven includes the skipper, Mr M. Lightband, aged 28. of New Plymouth, a teacher from a Suva school and five New Zealanders.
