DANNEVIRKE, May 20. Flames leapt across the forecourt of a petrol station setting fire to a motor-cycle: and a parked car at the height i of a brawl in Dannevirke’s main street last night. Six people were treated ati Dannevirke Hospital; seven I others were arrested by police. Senior-Sergeant L. Dalziel said today that more] arrests were expected. Mr Dalziel said that the brawl involved local youths and a group of about 30 Wellington motor-cyclists. Two fire engines were called in and dozens of people watched as the youths battled.

Of the persons taken to hospital, all but one was released after treatment — and he was discharged today after being kept overnight for observation.
