Singapore and Thailand will make joint diplomatic efforts to achieve a ceasefire in Cambodia, according to the Thai Deputy Foreign Minister (General Chartchai Chunhawan), who returned to Bangkok yesterday from Singapore after three days of talks with the Singapore Prime Minister (Mr Lee Kuan Yew) and other leaders. The general told reporters that the two countries had agreed to make joint diplomatic moves, but he declined to give details.—Bangkok, May 20.
