Tyre workers still out
Rubber workers at the Firestone Tire and Rubber Company’s Papanui factory yesterday voted unanimously to continue their strike indefinitely.
The 220 workers walked off the job on Thursday morning and met again yesterday to consider further action.
They decided they would not return to work until the employers agreed to go to a disputes committee under an independent chairman to settle the dispute over selecti’ e reinstatement of six of 12 men dismissed before Christmas. "The men have taken ex-1
