JAPANESE XV NAMED
Captain at full-back Although he normally plays at first five-eighths, the Meiji University Rugby captain, K. Onishi, will captain the touring Japanese team from fullback in its match against the University of Canterbury XV at Rugby Park tomorrow. The 26-s'ear-old Onishi has also appeared in the centre and wing positions, and is a very versatile player. Both teams have pledged to play entertaining Rugby and the key to the Meiji XV might be its little first five-eighths, C. Watanabe. He has represented the University for the last four years and his quick acceleration enables the back-line to show its ability. The forward pack has an able leader in its hooker, T. Takada, who represented the Japan Universities this year. He is the oldest member of the pack, at 24 years, and has had experience at prop. The Meiji team is: Onishi; N. Yokoyama. K. Chuba. A. Komatsu: S. Mori, Watanabe: Y. Matsu; M. Sakai; H. Kamimura, M. Nakayama. T. Nishazuma. T. Minamide; K. Iwasawa, Takada. T. Hirakawa. Reserves: M. Sasada. N. Adachi. M. Hotta. H. Takahashi.
