Auckland wool sale

Prices in the Auckland t section of the combined Auckland - Wellington ’ wool sale at Auckland . today tended to be variable, with values for second-shear in sellers’ ; favour. Poor-average style was in , buyers’ favour, but inferior , grades tended to be neglected I and declined by fully 21 per . cent. Best lambs, fleece wool, and remaining descriptions sold at unchanged rates. The offering of 20.536 hales 'of greasy wool comprised about 14 per cent full fleece.. , 27 per cent lambs. 35 per cent' second shear, and 24 per cent oddments. The small percentage of full fleece was a more or less rend of season offering carrying a fair amount of colour, but typical for this time of the year. Lambs wool was not j so good for colour as at the’ previous sale and inclined to be mixed in length. Second-shear was not as; good for colour or style as at the corresponding sale last year but this would be caused by the dry conditions prevailing for the last few months.
