Wellington wool prices down

GVew Zealand Press Association* AUCKLAND. March 30. Prices for some lines at the Wellington section of the combined Wellington-Auckland wool sale in Auckland today were up to 74per cent lower than at the recent Dunedin sale.

The official report of the sale, which was held in Auckland today, says that the offering of 8014 bales comprised about 17 per cent full fleece, 64 per cent secondshear, 11 ner cent lambs, 3 per cent hogget and 5 per cent oddments. The wool, mostly from Manawatu and the Wairarapa, opened up reasonably good for colour, with some

■ high yielding second-shear in the offering. Compared with the Dunedin sale, the market could I be quoted as 5 per cent lower I for second-shear and first ; lambs, and 7| per cent lower for second lambs and oddments. The small offering of full length crossbred fleece was fully 21 per cent down, with inferior fleece selling at a market discount. The official price range is:— I Fine Crossbred. 48/ 50s:
