Press Association' PARLIAMENT BUILDINGS. Consultation with New Zea-' land Racing Conference and the Trotting Conference had been held on the best use of the total number of licences author ised by the Racing iTotalisatori Order. 1973. the deputy chair- ( man of the Racing Authority i.Mr M. B Smythei said in a statement yesterday. The following clubs will race on the appointed dates:— Galloping: April 28. Matamata Racing Club; May 19, Poverty Bay Turf Club; May 26, Egmont Racing Club; May 26, Waimate Racing Club; June 9, Bay of Plenty Racing Club; June 23. Carterton Racing Club; Julv 14. l oxton Racing Club. Trotting: July 28. Timaru Trot Lng Club. Mr Smythe said these licences I would not be continued in the: 1973-74 racing season but would revert to those clubs to whicn they were allocated by the Authority earlier this year. It would have been preferable for all those latter clubs I to have used the licences but. asl foreseen by the Authority this I could not be achieved, he said.
