Nursery at factory

fN.Z. Press Association > WELLINGTON, Jan. 17. A Petone firm has decided to set up a day nursery for the children of its working mothers. The firm, W.D. and H.O. Wills (N.Z.), Ltd, employs about 250 women, of whom it is estimated 30 per cent are working mothers. An official said about 40 women left the firm every year to have children. The nursery will accommodate 50 children. School-age children will be taken to school in the morning and brought back to the nursery after classes. Mothers will pay a fee for the service.
