Ban lifted on girls

(N.Z.P. A.-Reuter—Copyright > CANBERRA. Jan. 1. Nineteen Rhodesian and South African members of the Girls Brigade would be allowed to stay overnight in Sydney on their return journey from New Zealand, the Minister of Immigration (Mr Albert Grassby) said today. A minor political row’ started last week when the girls were allowed only a two hour airport stop in Australia on their way to New Zealand. Mr Grassby said that the overnight return stop had been approved to allow the group’s concession flight arrangements to be completed. He said that two of the Rhodesians would be able also to meet relatives in Sydney.
