G.P.I. trading result fell 32 p.c.
(N.Z. Press Association) WELLINGTON, Dec. 5. Consolidated Plastic Industries (N.Z.), Ltd, reports that trading conditions for the first half of the current financial year were very slugglish resulting in group sales being below those for same period last year. The group net profit for the period was $292,000, which includes a revenue profit of $lOO,OOO on disposal of the plastic film division. The trading profit for the same period of last year was $280,908. Profits for current financial year is not expected to equal those for 1972, but should be more than sufficient to maintain the same dividend as last year, the directors say. The forward loading in manufacturing divisions is the highest for some years and on present indications the outlook is brighter. An unchanged interim dividend of 4c a share (4 per cent), will be paid out of realised capital profits on> December 15, ex dividend | December 6. , , . ;
