Invitations to hockey
The management committee Ot the New Zealand Hockey Association decided at its meeting last evening to invite 11 nations to compete In the proposed international tournament in Christchurch In the second week ot February, 1974. A report from Mr G. S. Maister, one ot the committee’s representatives on the council set up to do the initial planning for the tournament, was taken tn committee. Afterwards, the chairman (Dr L. McH. Berry) announced that the invitalons would be sent
immediately that it was hoped to have the replies back by the end of January. The countries which will be Invited are Australia, New Zeamany. India, Pakistan, England. Canada, Japan, Malaysia, and Kenya.
