Support for police
Baptists yesterday agreed to strengthen the hand of police in their attempts to maintain order. At their annual conference in Christchurch they agreed to do all they could to help those responsible for making laws and for enforcing them. The Rev. B. . Meadows (Wellington) said that the right to protest and propagate a belief was right, but this had to be achieved by persuasion, not by coercion.
