Auckland to help Games
(N Z. Press Association! AUCKLAND, Oct. 19. A fund-raising appeal for the 1974 Commonwealth Games in Christchurch will be sponsored by the Auckland City Council. The Municipal Association of New Zealand recommended that all towns and cities in New Zealand hold such an appeal. At a meeting tonight the City Council decided that the Mayor (Sir DoveMyer Robinson) should invite representatives of various sports bodies in Auckland to a meeting to organise the appeal.
