Church of Christ conference

More than 150 delegates and observers are expected to attend the annual conference of the Associated Churches of Christ, to be held in Christchurch at Labour Day week-end. This jubilee conference of the church will be its fiftieth annual meeting. Mr L, Scott, an Auckland layman formerly of Christchurch, will be president of the conference, which will be attended by the international president of the World Convention of Christian Churches, Dr D. Joyce, Dr Joyce is Dean of Phillips University of Oklahoma, and professor of the New Testament and Biblical theology. He is at present visiting several countries as president of the World Convention.

The conference will begin on October 20, and continue until October 23. On October 2, there will be a service of communion at the Moori house Avenue Church of ; Christ, at which Dr Joyce will speak.
