Cheap Continental meals
/By
Celia Timms)
, Many people have the impression that Continental food is extravagant in ingredients, but this is a fallacy. Wildly extravagant dishes are readily available from Europe, but not all Continental cooking is costly. In fact, I would venture to suggest that the thriftiest cooks in the world —and the cleverest with seasonings, flavouring and their blending of foods—are the Continentals. If there is a prime quality about their food it is flavour, with presentation or garnishing in second place. In today’s recipes I have selected some simple dishes which rely on both of these factors for their success.
