Skyhawks visit

Two Royal New Zealand Air Force Skyhawks flew to Christchurch from Ohakea yesterday and, although the flight could be regarded as routine training, their main purpose in visiting was a public relations exercise.

They were in Christchurch so that members of the Canterbury branch of the Royal New Zealand Aeronautical Society could inspect them. About 280 members of the branch and guests in the clubrooms of the Canterbury Aero Club heard a talk on the Skyhawks by an Air Force team, led by Wing Commander F. Kinvig, and saw a film of the aircraft before inspecting the machines. Today the Skyhawks will return to Ohakea.
