Rifle shield retained
(N.Z. Press Association) TIMARU. Christchurch again won the Andrew Faulkner Shield, contested for by South Island smallbore rifle associations, on Saturday. Christchurch had a score of 1986.154 out of a possible 2000. Ashburton was second, 1980.150, Central Southland third, 1978-137, and Timaru fourth, 1975.145. It was Christchurch’s second win In succession. Christchurch’s scores were: B. Sterritt, 100.8, 100.7; D. Wild, 99.7, 98.6; R. Cowley, 1008, 97.4; J. H. Findlay, 100.8, 100.9; K. Lockyer, 993, 993; G. Muir, 1003, 1003; S 3. Beams, 100.8, 983; J. A. Neale, 1003, 99.6; R. E. Taylor, 100.9, 100.9; W. I. Drayton, 98.8, 993. Total, 1986.154.
