More beef for Chile
(N.Z. Press AUCKLAND, July 21
A consignment of • 3000 tons of beef for Chile will be loaded into the freighter Augustenbourg next week. It is the second to be sent to Chile under a s4m trade deal. A party from the shippers will be in Chile on August 5 to watch the first shipment of beef, of 600 tons, which left on Wednesday, being unloaded. A Chilean veterinary surgeon and the head of the Chilean Government’s buying organisation are expected in New Zealand within two weeks to discuss proposals with exporters on the possibility of buying mutton and lamb.
