“The Press” Special Service WANGANUI. The highly successful handicapper, Ballycastle, had been turned out for a spell, his partowner, Mr N. J. Collins, said yesterday. A four-year-old gelding by Bally Royal from Gaysum, Ballycastle is raced by Mr Collins and Mr B. Elliot, who does the training. Ballycastle failed last week to show up in the Parliamentary Handicap at Trentham and his connections elected to rest their charge. “He obviously doesn’t handle really heavy winter ground and so we will rest him,” Mr Collins said. In addition, a stone bruise suffered earlier this month had not fully eleaned up. AU told, BaUycastle this season started 15 times for six wins, a second, a third and three fourths, for $8925. The Elliot-ColUns partnership has another racing interest in a two-year-old half-sister to BaUycastle,. a Final Orders filly, Summer Court.
