Wapiti head purchase

The Christchurch Airport Authority will buy the wapiti head which is the centre-piece of the customs hall at the airport. For some time now the head, which is one of the six best in the world, has been on loan to the airport from the man who shot it, a retired businessman, Mr D. Malcolm. Mr Malcolm has agreed to the head’s being purchased so that it can remain in the terminal.
