Kaiapoi will fill orders
The general manager of Kaiapoi Textiles, Ltd (Mr R. R. Gilchrist) yesterday gave an assurance that Kaiapoi would honour all orders placed against its offered ranges, irrespective of the Mosgiel takeover offer. “It is realised that the matter of continuity of supplies must be uppermost in the minds of our customers,” he said. “Whatever may be the outcome of the Mosgiel offer, all orders which are
to be placed against our offered ranges will be honoured. Careful plans have been made to ensure continuity of supply.” In confirmation of this he quoted a letter from Mr J. S. Lee, general manager of Mosgiel, dated July 10: “I can give you my company’s assurance that all orders taken for products currently supplied by Kaiapoi Textiles, Ltd, will be honoured in accordance with our normal terms of sale.”
