Men dith made a 46 I In the two other games played '.last evening, M Msffev was not troubled to beat W. Le Breton '491-333 and E. Martin surprised Jby beating P. Taylor in a match which was in doubt until the last minute. Botii Martin and Tajlor hod turns in the load, but the margin between them was never wide and in the final minutes the struggle became ncek-and-neck At the bell Martin was 343 and Taylor, in hand and with the object bails favourably placed was 337. Last evening’s winners are now through to the quarter-finals and the other four to join them will be found tonight when B. Kirkness plays D Collie, L. Saunders plays T Mlntrom, V. Choat meets R. Franks and W. Dilks plays G. Foster.
