AIRLINER ‘BUZZED’

Report from Hanoi CJV.Z Press Assn. —Copyright) HANOI, July 10. A regular Aeroflot flight from Moscow to Hanoi, the passengers on which included the American film actress. Jane Fonda, encountered American aircraft over Hanoi yesterday. Passengers say that the Ilyushin airliner was surrounded by eight Phantom fighter-bombers just after it had entered North Vietnamese air space. A French cameraman on the flight said he thought that the American pilots were probably using the Russian civilian flight as cover from anti-aircraft guns and surface-to-air missiles.

Hanoi sources say that the airliner, after making radio contact with Gia Lam Airport, turned and flew towards Vientiane, but later returned to land at Hanoi.

Miss Fonda is expected to spend two weeks in Hanoi.
