Canterbury in final

Canterbury, the holder, has gone through to the final of the National Youth Cup soccer competition, and will meet the winner of Wellington and Hawke’s Bay in Christchurch in September. The national junior association has decided not to set a new date for the Taranaki-Nelson match, which was not played on the day scheduled for it. Canterbury will therefore have had an easy, cheap passage to the last round. Its only match in this season’s compeittion was against Otago, which it won, 4-1, also in Christchurch.
