REGIONAL LEAGUE Leader now four ahead

Although Invercargill City was held to a draw, 0-0, by Western on Saturday, the Southland club had its lead increased to four points in the first division of the Southern League, Its closest rival, Mosgiel, was surprisingly upset, 2-5, by Christchurch City in Dunedin, with the former New Brighton player-coach, R. Taylor, getting another two goals. Technical’s hopes also suffered a blow when it was onlv able to draw, 1-1, with Shamrock yesterday, while Rangers lost a good chance of improving its position by losing to the bottom club, Roslyn-Wakari. Results: Western 0, Invercargill City 0; Shamrock 1, Technical 1; Rangers 1, Roslyn-Wakari 2; Timaru City 1, Dunedin North End 2; Mosgiel 2, Christchurch City 5. Points:—
